We provide treatment for patients of all ages, including older adults. Recently, I treated a patient in her 80s who was unhappy with the position of a lower tooth. Using clear aligners, we successfully moved the tooth back into place, and she was very pleased with the result.
When recommending clear aligner treatment, I consider factors such as bone health and any medications the patient is taking. However, in most cases, adult patients—especially those experiencing minor shifting in the lower front teeth—are good candidates for treatment. Many prefer clear aligners over traditional braces because they offer a nearly invisible way to reposition teeth. Most patients achieve their desired results within four to six months.
