One of the most common questions patients ask is about recovery time and when they can eat after getting a dental implant.
We typically recommend eating soft foods once the numbness wears off on the same day as the procedure. By the second day, you can gradually return to your normal diet based on how you feel. If you’re comfortable eating something like steak, it’s generally safe to do so, as most foods will not affect the healing implant.
However, we advise avoiding hard foods like ice, nuts, and anything that requires excessive pressure for the first few days. While the implant is healing, it’s best to be cautious with excessive force, but otherwise, you should be able to eat soft and regular foods without any issues.
