Why Did My Dental Insurance Pay a Different Amount Than Estimated?
In this video, Dr. Chance McLemore explains why dental insurance payments sometimes differ from estimates and what can affect your out-of-pocket costs.
We do our best to provide you with the most accurate estimate that we can of your treatment and your out-of-pocket cost. Unfortunately, dental insurance is complicated. If you’ve ever looked at your insurance plan, you see that there’s a lot of fine print. It’s difficult even for our software to determine what your exact amount will be out of pocket, and many times there are different things that change in treatment. There are also things such as missing tooth clauses, downgrades, and other items in that fine print that can affect your estimate and the difference between the estimate and your actual out-of-pocket cost.
