Your self-esteem is often directly influenced by how you feel about your smile. This is not a new phenomenon, as studies show that even in adolescence, the aesthetics of our smile affects how we feel about ourselves. Imperfections like misalignments, gaps, and crooked teeth often make patients like you feel embarrassed, hiding their smiles behind their hands. Fortunately, Riviera Dental Care has a solution! With clear aligner orthodontic treatments like ClearCorrect, you can straighten your smile quickly and comfortably, without the hassle of traditional braces. If you’ve been struggling with an imperfect smile, visit us in Foley, AL, to learn how we can revitalize your smile!
Clear Aligners: Meet ClearCorrect!
Unlike traditional metal braces, clear aligners are a much sleeker and more comfortable way to straighten your smile!
Metal braces are often bulky and uncomfortable, as the traditional brackets and wires irritate your cheeks. Additionally, braces gradually move your teeth for approximately two years. As the metal wire is tightened and loosened in small increments, this process is time-consuming and uncomfortable as you adjust to the pressure.
With clear aligners, metal brackets and wires are a thing of the past! Instead, we use clear plastic trays that are custom-fit to your smile. This smooth material is soft on the inside of your mouth, and the tightening process typically involves less discomfort.
For those who are afraid of others knowing they’re straightening their smile, ClearCorrect keeps most people none the wiser. These aligners are thinner than typical aligners, appearing almost invisible and feeling incredibly natural in your mouth. With our comprehensive treatment plan and ClearCorrect aligners, you can revitalize your smile quickly and comfortably!
The ClearCorrect Process
At Riviera Dental Care, straightening your teeth with ClearCorrect is simple.
First, we begin with a consultation. During this appointment, Dr. Havron will perform a thorough dental exam and take 3D X-rays of your smile. With this information, she determines if you’re eligible for the clear aligner process and creates a customized treatment plan. While some complex cases may require traditional braces, clear aligners can handle most misalignments!
With a comprehensive plan in place, lab technicians will craft a series of clear plastic trays that shift your teeth into their ideal position. Once you have your first set of ClearCorrect aligners in place, you’ll follow the set treatment plan carefully. This involves returning to Riviera Dental Care periodically to switch to the next set in the process!
These clear trays apply a constant, but gentle pressure to your teeth, gradually moving them into place. However, your aligners must be worn about 22 to 23 hours a day to stay on track with your treatment plan. While we encourage you to remove your aligners to eat and brush your teeth, be sure to keep them in for most of the day (including while you sleep)!
Amazingly, Dr. Havron can complete your ClearCorrect treatment in as little as 4 to 6 months! For the first 3 months after removing your aligners, we recommend wearing your retainer for at least 18 hours a day. After those 3 months, you can switch to wearing your retainer at night.
With ClearCorrect aligners, you can go from having misaligned or crooked teeth to a perfectly straight smile in no time!
