The Two-Visit Process
At your first procedural appointment, we will begin preparing your teeth. Veneers require a minimally invasive process, shaving off the very front layer of your enamel. Because veneers need to sit flush with the rest of your natural teeth, they need room on your tooth for placement. By removing this layer, we create space for the veneers to sit as replacement enamel!
At Riviera Dental Care, we prioritize your comfort by making the entire process as painless as possible. We use a localized anesthetic to keep you calm and comfortable during the procedure. While you can expect to feel a little soreness after the procedure, it’s easily managed with over-the-counter pain relievers!
Once the preparation process is complete, we will place temporary veneers to serve two important functions. The first is to protect your sensitive teeth while they wait for your final veneers. However, the second is to allow you to customize their shape and feel. While wearing these temporary veneers, you determine the ideal length, color, and size of the teeth in your smile. Any changes you make to your temporaries, we will reflect in the final version.
Your second visit is whenever your final veneers are done! When they arrive, we’ll replace the temporaries with the new ones, so you can try out your new smile. If everything looks and feels great, we will bond them to your teeth!
