During this first step, we create a detailed model of your mouth using 3D scans of your smile and impressions. With this information, we begin to plan what your new smile will look like. However, you are an integral part of the customization process! We will discuss the ideal color and look of your smile with you, so you can trust that your denture will match your needs.
Step 2
Afterward, we will begin the crafting process.
Thanks to our innovative denture lab, run by Dr. Hanson, we have the ability to create your dentures on site! That same morning, we’ll begin the process of making your dentures, utilizing your impressions, 3D scans, and CAD/CAM technology. CAD/CAM stands for Computer-Aided Design/Manufacturing, which involves methods like 3D printing to create your denture.
This state-of-the-art tech crafts your new smile with exceptional accuracy. Using the impressions of your smile, we can create a denture that is perfectly aligned with the contours of your mouth. Once we have a basic mold of your dentures in wax, we’ll have you try them on to make sure they fit and look right.
Step 3
In the afternoon, you will return for your denture fitting and any necessary extractions.
If you have remaining teeth that need to be extracted, we will wait until right before denture placement. Then, we’ll use a bone graft to restore lost bone tissue and secure your denture on top to support your healing and accelerate the process!
